All centers are closed to the public.
We regret to announce that due to the continued public health concerns related to COVID-19, our centers will be closed to the public until further notice.
We will continue to update this website with future news.
If you are unemployed, please note that the only ways to apply for benefits are by the internet or the Virginia Employment Commission call center:
- Initial and continued claim filings are available online at vawc.virginia.gov
- By phone, please note call volume is very high and there are extended wait time. If you cannot access services on-line:
1. To file an initial unemployment insurance claim, call 1.866.832.2363
2. To file a weekly continued claim, call the automated phone system at 1.800.897.5630

If you were previously working with The WorkPlace or P.O.W.E.R.(Pathways) staff on a WIOA Title I service plan, you will be contacted if you haven’t already about how to continue with your service plan, or you may reach out to the staff you have been working with by phone or email.
